PERFECT NIGERIAN FISH STEW – NIGERIAN PARTY FISH | PEPPERED FISH



Ingredients:

Red Sea Bream Steaks

1/2Cup Vegetable Oil

2 Red Bell Peppers

3 Paprika Peppers

3 Chilli Peppers

2 Scotch Bonnet

3 Medium Onions

2 tbsp Butter

1 tbsp Minced Ginger

1 tbsp Minced Garlic

1 tsp Dried Basil

1 tsp Thyme

1tsp Curry Powder

2 Bouillon Cubes

Salt to taste

TO MARINATE FISH:

1/2 Lemon

1 tbsp Onion Powder

1 tbsp Ginger Powder

1 tsp Cumin Powder

2 bouillon Cubes

1 tsp Paprika

Salt to taste

    1. just for informational purposes not a critique.
      Red Sea Bream is a different type of fish than Red Snapper. They are different species.
      Sea Bream is more related to a fish we call Porgy here in the United States.

I don’t like the recipes with the de-boned fish and I prefer red snapper too instead of mackerel like I’ve seen on other recipes. I will be trying this recipe tomorrow! Farmers market here I come.

      I am in North Florida can’t find them locally and Amazon and Whole Foods don’t have them!

      I made this recipe without them and it came out amazing! I added tomato paste but that deep rich red color did not happen.

      I am Caribbean American traveled to Ghana and love cooking my heritage foods. I made this recipe with Ghana Red Red and collard greens. My Nigerian Brother from another Mother made the Jollof rice!!

      Please give me a link to find these paprika peppers I must have them!
